  • Accommodated Classroom Exams

    Accommodated Classroom Exams

    Exam Proctoring is a service provided by the Office of Testing Services at Northern Kentucky University to assist faculty with providing reasonable accommodations to students with documented disabilities. Students eligible for proctoring will be given a letter from the Office for Student Accessibility supporting the need for the special accommodations. The student should present this letter to the faculty member as soon as possible to begin the exam scheduling process.


  • Avant STAMP

    Avant STAMP

    The STAMP (STAndards-based Measurement of Proficiency) is a four part web-based exam that determines language proficiency in 4 domains (Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking). The results are aligned with the ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language) proficiency scale. The test takes approximately 2-2.5 hours to complete. Students have the option of doing all four assessments in one session OR doing two each in two separate sessions—one for Reading and Writing and one for Listening and Speaking.


  • American Institute of Constructors' Certification Exam

    American Institute of Constructors' Certification Exam

    The Constructor Certification Program was created in 1996 to provide constructors a professional certification of the skills and knowledge needed to manage the complex construction process. The Constructor Certification Commission is a semi-autonomous organization within the American Institute of Constructors that oversees the program, including the creation of the examination and the policies and procedures that govern the program. The Commission is governed by a Board of Governors.


  • Informatics Competency Testing

    Informatics Competency Testing

    Northern Kentucky University offers its students the ability to show competency in a College of Informatics course, CIT 247. If a student passes the competency test, than he/she may "place out" of the course and move to the next course in the sequence.


  • Major Field Tests

    Major Field Tests

    The ETS® Major Field Tests (MFT) are comprehensive undergraduate and MBA outcomes assessments designed to measure the critical knowledge and understanding obtained by students in a major field of study. The Major Field Tests go beyond the measurement of factual knowledge by helping evaluate students' ability to analyze and solve problems, understand relationships and interpret material from their major field of study.

    Nursing Classroom Make-Up Exams

    Exam Proctoring is a service provided by the Office of Testing Services at Northern Kentucky University for NKU's Nursing department to assist in the event when a student is unable to complete an exam during the regular scheduled classroom time.
