NKU faculty members have provided a unique opportunity for students wishing to receive credit for what they already have learned. Credit for Prior Learning Examinations (CPLE) are available for currently enrolled NKU students. The exams listed below are available to take and a grade of pass (P) will be assigned for the successful passage of a CPLE examination. Awarded CPLE credit will not replace any prior earned class credit.

* Students wishing to take these exams must seek permission from the appropriate department before registering.

** Students are only permitted to take the CSC 360 CPLE if they've passed the CSC 260 CPLE or have passed the CSC 260 class.

REGISTRATION

The CPLE exam is offered everyday Monday-Friday, at various times.

At the time of the registration, the examinee is required to pay Northern Kentucky University a fee of $115. This fee is non-refundable. If you wish to reschedule, you may do so without a charge 7 days prior to your scheduled test date. If you reschedule after the 7-day grace period, you must register and pay the fee again.

On the day of the test, the examinee must bring a picture identification card that includes both a picture and signature to the Testing Center.
