Exam Proctoring is a service provided by the Office of Testing Services at Northern Kentucky University to assist faculty with providing reasonable accommodations to students with documented disabilities. Students eligible for proctoring will be given a letter from the Office for Student Accessibility supporting the need for the special accommodations. The student should present this letter to the faculty member as soon as possible to begin the exam scheduling process.
Testing Services is located in the University Center, Room 101 (Ground Level)
If you need late testing (testing that runs past 4:30 pm), please keep in mind the following information:
Testing Services maintains a strict policy for when students should arrive for their test. Students must arrive on time. It is important that students communicate with each of their professors to ensure the correct date and time for testing. Failure to do so may result in the Testing Services Office not administering the test.
Students must take their exam at the same time as the standard classroom exam time. There are two exceptions:
For either of the above exceptions, students should first contact their professor with their desired testing appointment time. This must be done at least one class period before the exam. Professors will use their discretion when approving any alternative times.
If you are teaching an online course, your exam must be extended per their accommodation. If you are unsure of how much time the student should receive, please reach out to our office. For technical assistance with exam accommodations please connect with the NKU IT Help Desk.
