If you are interested in receiving an Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) scholarship and commissioning into the Army Reserve, the Minuteman Scholarship provides you an excellent opportunity. Minuteman Scholarships cover 4 years of full tuition and fees or $10,000 for room and board at colleges and universities served by an Army ROTC program.
Scholarship recipients also receive a monthly stipend of $300 to $500, and a yearly book allowance of $1,200. In addition, Minuteman Scholarship recipients participate in the Simultaneous Membership Program, which gives them experience with an Army Reserve unit while earning additional money for their service.
The Army Women’s Foundation recognizes the importance of education and the role it plays in personal, professional and economic fulfillment. The Army Women’s Foundation Legacy Scholarship Program provides grants to women soldiers, past and present, and their lineal descendants to help them attain their educational goals. The Legacy Scholarship Program offers financial support in four areas: Certificate programs, Community College coursework, Undergraduate Degrees, and Graduate Degrees. Scholarships are awarded only for coursework from accredited institutions. Scholarships are based on merit, academic potential, community service, letters of recommendation, and need.
· Community College and Certificate Program Legacy Scholarships will be awarded up to $1,000.
· College, University, and Graduate Program Legacy Scholarships will be awarded up to $2,500.
ELIGIBILITY
Eligibility for ASF Undergraduate Scholarships; applicants must:
• Be sons or daughters of regular active duty, active duty Reserve, or active duty National Guard U.S. Army members in good standing, OR
be spouses of serving enlisted regular active duty, active duty Reserve, or active duty National Guard U.S. Army members in good standing, OR
be sons or daughters of former U.S. Army members who received an honorable discharge or medical discharge, or who were killed while serving in the U.S. Army.
Not have previously earned a bachelor's degree from a college or university.
