The AFCEA War Veterans Scholarships:

Merit-based scholarships of $2,500 will be awarded to persons on active duty in the uniformed military services, to honorably discharged U.S. military veterans (including Reservists and National Guard personnel) of the Enduring Freedom-Afghanistan or Iraqi Freedom Operations (years 2004-present) who are currently enrolled and attending classes in an Undergraduate program part time or full time in an eligible STEM major degree program at an accredited for year college or university in the U.S. (see eligibility section paragraph 4 for list of acceptable STEM majors).

Imagine America Military Award Program
Award Amount: $1,000

The Imagine America Military Awar Program is open to military personnel who wish to pursue and/or are continuing to pursue post-secondary career education at specific colleges or trade schools. This award is available to any active duty and honorably discharged or retired veteran of a United States military service branch. In order to apply, you must also meet the college or trade school’s standard admissions requirements for your requested program of study. Freedom Alliance Scholarship
Award Amount: Varies 

The Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to the dependent children of U.S. military personnel who have been killed or permanently disabled as a result of an operational mission or training accident, or a U.S. military personnel who is classified as a prisoner of war (POW) or missing in action (MIA). You must also maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA and be enrolled full time to remain on scholarship and to be eligible to renew your scholarship. Olmstead Scholar Program
Award Amount: Varies

The Olmsted Scholar Program is available to career line officers from the four branches of the U.S. military.
You must intend to study a foreign language full time at the graduate level in a foreign country to qualify for this award.Selection for this award will be based on demonstrated scholastic ability and language aptitude, qualities of leadership, personal attributes and strong professional performance.You must have an undergraduate college GPA of at least 3.0, GRE scores better than 500 in all categories and a Defense Language Aptitude Battery test score above 100. You must be nominated by your military service to be considered. Seth Bonder Scholarship for Applied Operations Research
Award Amount: Varies from $4,000 - $5,000

The Seth Bonder Scholarship for Applied Operations Research is available to doctoral students in military operations research or a related discipline. You must be interested in interchange of military or research knowledge in conjunction with INFORMS. Get more information on the Seth Bonder Scholarship for Applied Operations Research.

 

American Legion Auxiliary Scholarship for Non-Traditional Students

Applicant must be a member of The American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, or Sons of The American Legion and shall have paid dues for the two preceding years and for the calendar year in which application is made. Be either a non-traditional student returning to the classroom after some period of time in which his/her formal education was interrupted or a non-traditional student who is just beginning his/her education at a later point in life. American Legion Auxiliary Spirit of Youth Scholarship recipients are not eligible.

Air Force Association Scholarships

 

The George and vicki Muellner Foundation Scholarship

This scholarship program was created through a generous contribution by the George and Vicki Muellner Foundation and designated to assist cadets who are members of either the Arnold Air Society or Silver Wings. Two scholarships in the amount of $5,000 each will be awarded annually. 

 

Pitsenbarger Awards

Pitsenbarger Awards provide a one-time grant of $400 to selected top active duty, Guard and Reserve USAF enlisted personnel graduating from the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) who plan to pursue a baccalaureate degree. The grants coincide with the CCAF graduation ceremonies held each spring and fall.

 

Colonel Aaron Burgstein Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship program is made possible by a bequest from Mr. and Mrs. Michael and Judith Burgstein, in memory of their devoted son and AFA Lifetime Member, Colonel Aaron Burgstein. The scholarship was established for minor depends of (officer or enlisted) active duty, prior service, or retired service members, reservists or National Guard members of all branches who are/will be pursuing a two year or four year degree at an accredited college/university. Priority will be given to those dependents whose parent/guardian served for eight or more years, have had a parent die while serving on or in an active duty status, or has a parent that has been classified as a wounded warrior through the Air Force Wounded Warrior program. Additional funds supporting this program have been contributed by family, friends and colleagues. Two scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each will be awarded annually.

 

Captain Jodi Callahan Memorial Scholarship

The Captain Jodi Callahan Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance and recognition to an active duty Air Force full time guard or reserve (officer or enlisted) person who is pursuing a Master's degree in a non-technical field.

 

Mike & Gail Donley Spouse Scholarship

The Air Force Association Mike & Gail Donley Spouse Scholarship program is designed to encourage Air Force spouses worldwide to pursue associate/bachelor undergraduate or graduate/postgraduate degrees. 

 

Lt. Col Romeo and Josephine Bass Ferretti Scholarship

This scholarship is made possible by a bequest from the estate of Lt Col Romeo and Josephine Bass Ferretti and was established for minor dependents of Air Force active duty, Reserve or Air National Guard enlisted airmen pursuing an undergraduate degree in the area of science, technology, engineering or math (STEM). The recipients will be selected based upon high academic standards, good character and financial need.

 

AFAS General Henry H. Arnold Education Grant Program

The General Henry H. Arnold Education Grant Program is competitive in its need-based selection criteria, uniquely tailored to recognize the proper weighing of family income and education cost factors. Grants are awarded to selected sons and daughters of Active Duty, Title 10 AGR/Reserve, Title 32 AGR performing full-time active duty, Retired, Retired Reserve and deceased Air Force members; spouses of Active Duty members and Title 10 AGR/Reservists; and surviving spouses of deceased personnel for their full-time undergraduate studies.

 

 

 

Army Association Scholarships 

Army Reserve Officer Training Corps Minute Man Scholarship

If you are interested in receiving an Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) scholarship and commissioning into the Army Reserve, the Minuteman Scholarship provides you an excellent opportunity. Minuteman Scholarships cover 4 years of full tuition and fees or $10,000 for room and board at colleges and universities served by an Army ROTC program. 

Scholarship recipients also receive a monthly stipend of $300 to $500, and a yearly book allowance of $1,200.  In addition, Minuteman Scholarship recipients participate in the Simultaneous Membership Program, which gives them experience with an Army Reserve unit while earning additional money for their service.

 

Army Women's Foundation

The Army Women’s Foundation recognizes the importance of education and the role it plays in personal, professional and economic fulfillment. The Army Women’s Foundation Legacy Scholarship Program provides grants to women soldiers, past and present, and their lineal descendants to help them attain their educational goals. The Legacy Scholarship Program offers financial support in four areas: Certificate programs, Community College coursework, Undergraduate Degrees, and Graduate Degrees. Scholarships are awarded only for coursework from accredited institutions. Scholarships are based on merit, academic potential, community service, letters of recommendation, and need.

·         Community College and Certificate Program Legacy Scholarships will be awarded up to $1,000.

·         College, University, and Graduate Program Legacy Scholarships will be awarded up to $2,500.

 

ELIGIBILITY

  1. Applicant must be a woman who has served or is serving honorably in the U.S. Army, U.S. Army Reserve, Army National Guard or the child of a woman who served honorably in the U.S. Army, U.S. Army Reserve or Army National Guard.
  2. Community College Legacy Scholarships:
    Applicant must be a high school graduate with a 2.5 Grade Point Average (GPA) or GED and must be currently enrolled in an accredited community college.

  3. Certificate Program Legacy Scholarships:
    Applicant must be a high school graduate with a 2.5 Grade Point Average (GPA) or GED and must be currently enrolled in accredited Certificate granting institution.

  4. College and University Legacy Scholarships:
    Applicant must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university and have completed 30 credit hours of course work and with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.

  5. Graduate Program Legacy Scholarships:
    Applicant must have achieved an undergraduate degree with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and must be enrolled in or accepted into a Graduate level program — Masters or Doctoral.

 

The Captain Jennifer Shafer Odom memorial Scholarship

Eligibility for ASF Undergraduate Scholarships; applicants must:

•    Be sons or daughters of regular active duty, active duty Reserve, or active duty National Guard U.S. Army members in good standing, OR
be spouses of serving enlisted regular active duty, active duty Reserve, or active duty National Guard U.S. Army members in good standing, OR
be sons or daughters of former U.S. Army members who received an honorable discharge or medical discharge, or who were killed while serving in the U.S. Army.

  • Be high school seniors, high school graduates, or registered as undergraduate students at an accredited college or post high school vocational/technical institution.
  • Have a 2.0 grade point average on a 4 point system.
  • Be a U.S. citizen.
  • Not have reached their 24th birthday by the application deadline date in the year they apply if they are a child of an Army member.

Not have previously earned a bachelor's degree from a college or university.

 

The First Lieutenant Schot McClean Love Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility for ASF Undergraduate Scholarships; applicants must:

•     Be sons or daughters of regular active duty, active duty Reserve, or active duty National Guard U.S. Army members in good standing, OR
be spouses of serving enlisted regular active duty, active duty Reserve, or active duty National Guard U.S. Army members in good standing, OR
be sons or daughters of former U.S. Army members who received an honorable discharge or medical discharge, or who were killed while serving in the U.S. Army.

  • Be high school seniors, high school graduates, or registered as undergraduate students at an accredited college or post high school vocational/technical institution.
  • Have a 2.0 grade point average on a 4 point system.
  • Be a U.S. citizen.
  • Not have reached their 24th birthday by the application deadline date in the year they apply if they are a child of an Army member.

The KBR Honorary Scholarship

Eligibility for ASF Undergraduate Scholarships; applicants must:

be spouses of serving enlisted regular active duty, active duty Reserve, or active duty National Guard U.S. Army members in good standing, OR

The BAE Systems Honorary Scholarship

The Sergeant Andrew Edmund Topham Memorial Scholarship
