The Coordinator for Leadership, Curriculum, and Training, reporting to the Associate Director of Residence Life, is responsible for advising the Residence Hall Association (RHA) and National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH); for developing, maintaining, evaluating, and annually revising the departmental residential curriculum; developing, benchmarking, and managing departmental hiring processes for all University Housing undergraduate student staff; and developing, assessing, managing, and implementing training for all University Housing undergraduate student staff. This position also serves on-call for the campus residential community, taking after-hours calls from graduate and professional residence life staff, and attends professional and student conferences for professional development and the advancement of advised organizations.
Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Residence Life, and with guidance from the Associate Director of Housing Operations and the Director of University Housing, the Coordinator for Leadership, Curriculum, and Training is responsible for:
The Coordinator for Leadership, Curriculum, and Training must have a Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education. A Master's degree in one of the following disciplines is strongly preferred: Educational Leadership, Higher Education Administration, Student Personnel Administration, Education, Counseling, Human Resources, or a related field. Applicants for this position must have experience working with or advising RHA and/or NRHH, must have experience in developing or executing training for undergraduate housing staff, and must have proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred qualifications include 2-3 years of professional, post-master's experience including 1-2 years working in an on-campus professional housing or residence life role; experience with Housing Management Software (i.e. Adirondack); experience serving on-call for a university residential population; experience with crisis management, conflict mediation, and acting in a politically savvy manner; ability to develop cross-collaborative relationships with campus partners; experience working with and/or developing a residential curriculum.
