The Housing Marketing and Outreach Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of marketing, outreach, and recruitment operations for University Housing at Northern Kentucky University. This position is responsible for representing the department to current and prospective students, many times in collaboration with Enrollment Management, for managing messaging and social media for the department, for conducting research and assessment regarding University Housing retention efforts, for training staff in customer service techniques, focused on the retention of students to both the department and the institution, and for recruiting students to live in University Housing. Reporting to the Associate Director of Housing Operations, this position is the public face of the department in the recruitment of new students, and the retention of current students, to University Housing, increasing occupancy and driving revenue generation. This position coordinates all training of student staff in customer service and outreach efforts, seeking to drive student satisfaction. This position collaborates on departmental assessment efforts on how to refine operations and residential outreach to maximize student satisfaction, focusing on the impact student satisfaction has in retention and recruitment efforts. This position serves as a primary and secondary point of contact for most constituents with University Housing and oversees departmental messaging, branding, perception, and outreach.

The Housing Marketing and Outreach Coordinator must have a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education. Preferred areas of study include: Marketing, Business Administration, Management, Organizational Behavior, Psychology, or a related field. A Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in Student Personnel Administration, Student Affairs, Higher Education Administration, Educational Leadership, Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field is strongly preferred. 1 year of professional work experience in a related capacity is required.
Preferred qualifications include a general understanding of university/college functions; experience working in an office environment; significant understanding of, or experience in, marketing, communications, customer relations, customer service, and assessment of constituent/customer/service satisfaction; and 2 years of marketing experience at a higher education institution.
