University Housing at NKU hosts conferences and events during the Summer term, in partnership with Conference Services, Business Operations and Auxiliary Services, Dining Services, Operations & Maintenance, and Campus Recreation. The ACUHO-I Summer Conference Coordinator, reporting directly to the Associate Director of Housing Operations, will be responsible for the supervision of Conference Managers, Conference Assistants, and (indirectly) Facilities student staff, will serve as the primary contact for internal and external conference groups, will serve in the summer on-call rotation, and will have primary oversight of conference and intern summer housing. This position will also assess best practices for conference staff and conference services at NKU and give input on marketing strategies for future conferences.

The ACUHO-I Summer Conference Coordinator must have a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education and must be enrolled in a graduate program at a regionally accredited institution of higher education.

Preferred qualifications include experience in Residence Life, experience with Customer Service/Guest Care, exemplary time management and administrative skills, and have demonstrated strengths, including supervision of student staff; leadership and professional development; organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to be flexible and adjust to rapidly changing situations; strong communication, both interpersonal and intrapersonal; strong work ethic; self-motivation and demonstrated initiative; and knowledge of Microsoft Office.

The ACUHO-I Summer Conference Coordinator receives the following:

1. A private apartment in University Housing, including all utilities. Campus residency is required for the role.
2. A set stipend for the summer of $3,600.
3. A $1,200 declining blance meal plan for the summer.
4. Free access to Campus Recreation facility.

The ACUHO-I Summer Conference Coordinator is expected to be available from mid-May until the first week of August. The ACUHO-I Summer Conference Coordinator will work 30-35 hours per week.
