Research Tutoring is located at the 3rd floor Main Circulation Desk. Research tutoring is for quick questions, tips, and strategies on finding and evaluating information resources.
Steely Library has a dedicated research consultation room available on the 3rd floor, room 302. The Research consultation service is available by appointment for NKU campus students, faculty, and staff who seek in-depth assistance on using library resources for course projects, theses or original research.
The Writing Center is located on the 3rd floor of Steely Library. Writing Center consultants work with students on any college writing assignment, from a short response paper to a long research project. More information about the Writing Center and information about booking an appointment can be found on their website.
On the 1st floor of Steely Library is room 102, which can be reserved for meetings, classes, or special events. The room has a laptop with a projector and screen, seating for up to 50 people and 16 collapsible tables that can be wheeled out if not needed. Contact aplsoffice@nku.edu for reservation inquiries.
Faculty are encouraged to bring classes to the library. We have two classrooms dedicated to information literacy instruction. Room 300 and 304 are located on the 3rd floor of the Steely Library. These rooms are equipped with high-definition projectors, laptops, marker boards, and other technology that is conducive to active learning. Due to the high demand for information literacy instruction, our classrooms are unavailable for reservation by anyone other than our teaching team. Request instruction now.
The Eva G. Farris Reading Room is located on the 2nd floor of the Library. This renovated space was made possible through the generosity of Oakley and Eva Farris. This room is open for students to utilize to study, and it is also available to reserve for special events, such art galleries and author presentations.
