Course Reserves are materials and resources that have been set aside at the Steely Library by a faculty member to be used for a class; they can be either print or electronic.
Faculty members may request that materials (i.e., books, print materials, DVDs) relating to a course be made available for a limited check-out period. If Steely Library does not own needed materials, you can place your own copy on reserve or request that the item be purchased for the Library collection.
Electronic Course Reserves
Steely Library pulls items from our stacks and creates scans of needed readings for students. Faculty will receive permalinks for the digitized materials. Once faculty insert the permalinks into Canvas, the students can download the materials.
Instructors are responsible for operating within fair use guidelines when placing material on reserve. Contact the library for more information.
