Spaces in Steely Library are primarily for the support of study, learning, and research. Occasional library or co-sponsored library events are held in the building. The library has a few reservable spaces for use by campus offices, programs. See Learning Spaces for information on reservable learning spaces for events.
Permission is required for filming, recording, and taking photographs in Steely Library. Considerations for approval include the requested location, the time, and impact on ongoing study and learning. Projects must not be disruptive or create safety hazards. Filming is generally not permitted in quiet study areas, staff areas, and bathrooms and will not be permitted during Finals Week. Direct requests or questions to email@example.com at least one week prior to the proposed filming/photography date. Include the proposed date, time, location, a brief description of the project, and the number of people involved.
Steely Library does not permit table reservations inside the library. Tables may be reserved in the loggia area for NKU-related purposes. Requests are considered on a case-by-case basis. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org with requests.
The bulletin board in the loggia is the designated space for posting flyers and signage. Do not hang, place, or distribute posters and flyers within or outside the building. Materials placed outside the designated area will be removed and recycled.
We take pride in providing an array of information technology in the library, and each member of the NKU community has an obligation to abide by NKU policies, and local, state, and federal laws. In general:
