If you are an NKU campus user looking for an item that is not available at Steely, you can request materials from other libraries through Interlibrary Loan. The loan period and renewal options are determined by the lending library. Articles are electronically accessed from the your Interlibrary Loan account. Other materials are picked up from the Public Services Desk. Renewals are at the discretion of the lending library, so results will vary; however, all renewal requests should be made at least two working days before the item is due to allow the lending library time to process the renewal request.
Reserves provide convenient access to required reading materials selected by faculty. Reserves may include online articles, books, audio and videotapes, and other items required for class assignments. Reserve items are available for short-term loans (usually two hours) in order to ensure availability for many users.
You can find a variety of items to support your course work at the Public Services Desk, such as anatomical models. The loan period on these items varies from two hours to a few days. These items are only available to current NKU students, faculty, and staff.
Reference materials are for use in the library only.
Current magazines and journals are for use in the library only.
