The library has eight technology-enhanced group study rooms available for reservation to help students, faculty, and staff complete academic work.

  • 130, 131, 133 on the 1st floor, keys at the first floor Public Services Desk 
  • 205 and 210 on the 2nd floor, keys at the 3rd floor Public Services Desk 
  • 306, 308 and 314 on the 3rd floor, keys at the 3rd floor Public Services Desk 

  • Interactive Whiteboard – Increases the level of engagement between students to enhance learning. 
  • Large display screen and Air Media – Allows personal computing devices to connect without requiring cables and adapters.  Students will have the ability to collaborate easily! 
  • Touch panel controls – Provides one location for the user to perform all system functions for the room.  
  • Logitech Meetup video conferencing – An all-in-one video conferencing solution that will be mounted to the display in each room.  This will afford easy collaboration for all students, whether they are in the room or not. 
  • Kaptivo for whiteboard capture – Allows real time content sharing with the ability to save student work.

Group Study Room Use Guidelines

  • Group Study Rooms are available to NKU students, staff, and faculty using an NKU All Card.
  • Reservations can be made up to 2 weeks in advance.
  • Only one reservation can be made per group, per day (up to 2 hours). Consecutive bookings by groups are not permitted.
  • If keys are not picked up within the first 15 minutes of a reservation, the reservation will be canceled.
  • Keys should be returned five minutes prior to the end of the reservation. Late fees will accrue at the rate of $0.25/hour for keys returned late. 
  • Please lock and close the door when finished using the room.
