ADMINISTRATIVE/BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

James Hudson (1903-1986) and Earl Hudson (1897-1974), born to William and Elizabeth Hudson, were brothers from Covington, Kentucky. Earl worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad System. James served in the United States Navy in World War I. James and Earl Hudson are buried in Highland Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky.
 

SCOPE AND CONTENT

Collection contains an oversize photographic print of a group portrait of members of Company 49 at the United States Naval Base in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Photograph was taken by G. L. Hall Opt. Co. of Norfolk, Virginia. The company commander is listed on the photograph as C. T. Taylor and the instructor as G.A. Morgan, Jr. James Hudson is identified as the twenty-first individual from the right side in the front row.

The collection also contains a dining car menu from the Pennsylvania Railroad System in an envelope addressed to Mr. EJ (Earl) Hudson, Freight Brakeman, Xenia, Ohio dated 1925.
