These research files were donated by Jim Reis, a columnist for the Kentucky Post who is also affiliated with the Northern Kentucky African-American Heritage Task Force. The files contain information on church histories, African-American communities and schools, and biographical information on both the famous and the infamous.
Most of these items are photocopies from various books and newspapers, were used in his research for his "Pieces of the Past" column.
