Members of the Shinkle family were prominent in the Northern Kentucky business community early in the twentieth century. Bradford and Clifford Shinkle in particular each served as president of the Covington & Cincinnati Bridge Company, the company that owned and operated the Roebling Suspension Bridge for many years.
The collection consists of miscellaneous business papers of the Shinkle family; tax receipts, lease agreements, and correspondence regarding the large business holdings the family had, most spanning the years 1862-1926.
