Black Thought and Culture is a database that provides approximately 100,000 pages of nonfiction writings by over 1,000 American black leaders. Approximately 20% of the items are previously unpublished such as the transcript of the Muhammad Ali trial, a full run of The Black Panther newspaper, and selected audio files. Covering 250 years of history, this collection supports the study of the historical development of black culture. Researchers can examine the ideas of one individual over time or compare the thinking of various figures on a given topic.
