Samantha Geiger – Makerspace Coordinator

Samantha previously served as the Creative Space Support Associate at the Boone County Public Library, where she was a co-creator and manager for BCPL's makerspace. She oversaw a multitude of maker technologies, including 3D printers, 3D scanners, and a laser cutter, and worked closely with library patrons to support creative projects.

Samantha was led to work at NKU for the sense of community and vibrant campus atmosphere. She and her husband are no strangers to the Norse Nation as they are both NKU alumni turned staff. Samantha graduated from NKU’s School of the Arts with a BFA in Visual Communication Design. Her other interests include painting, art, science fiction, Dungeons and Dragons, and plants that her husband has to keep alive. If you are in search of a stimulating tale, be sure to ask Samantha about her two years and three holiday seasons as a mall portrait photographer. You will not be disappointed.

Unfamiliar with Stego Studio or makerspace technologies? No worries. The makerspace is designed for all makers regardless of expertise. Feel free to visit Stego Studio during walk-in hours Monday - Friday from 1:00 –3:00 p.m. or reach out to Samantha at stegostudio@nku.edu with any questions you may have. What will you make?

Join us in welcoming Samantha Geiger to Team Steely!
