Show off your creativity and boost your portfolio with a chance to design a one-of-a-kind gift for NKU donors.

Steely Library’s makerspace, Stego Studio, invites all creative, currently enrolled NKU students to submit a design idea for our new contest! Students from all majors and disciplines are eligible. To apply, please express interest using the linked form by Monday, July 18 so that we can learn more about your design idea.

The selected student will receive support from Stego Studio staff in executing a working prototype of their design. Upon completion of a successful prototype, students will also receive a $300 stipend. Sixty copies of the design will subsequently be produced in the makerspace and mailed to NKU donors as an example of a student-created project. The selected student will be credited with the design and given an opportunity to promote their business-related website, should they wish. 

Design specifications:  

• Original design (can be either a functional or decorative item)
  
• Desktop-sized (approximately 3”x5”)
  
• Needs to be created using Stego Studio equipment (3D scanners, 3D printers, and a GlowForge laser cutter/engraver)
  
• No obscene or graphic imagery will be accepted
