If you have questions about closing related items, please contact your RA or Housing Professional staff of your residential community. Good luck with the remainder of the Spring Semester!

Our express check-out is part of the departure procedure. Just hand over your keys at the residence hall front desk when you're ready.
When you complete your check-out from the residence hall, you'll sign an Express Check-out form. But what exactly does this involve?
Ensure all personal items, including trash, are removed from your space before departure. Once you leave, room access will be revoked.
Following your departure and key return, housing staff will conduct a thorough inspection of your space.
Any damage(s) discovered by housing staff will result in charges to your student bill. Damages and lost keys cannot be appealed.
Residents may include a brief statement about any damage on their Express check-out form, but the cost of damages remains non-appealable.
As part of the move-out experience, RAs/Housing staff will be conducting room inspections when residents have officially checked out of their residential space. RAs/Housing staff will be opening all drawers, closet/wardrobes, bathrooms, cabinets, etc. in the bedrooms and common spaces to ensure all personal items have been removed from the space.
If any items are left behind, residents may be assessed fees for property removal for the time and number of items left behind.
RAs/Housing Staff will note the cleanliness of your residential room space and all common areas. Do your best to sweep, mop, and wipe down all surfaces including inside any drawer space to the best of your ability.
What are common damage charges for residents moving out? The list below is not an exhaustive list.
