Building on our well-attended inaugural spring workshop, the NKU OER team is pleased to continue our open educational resources pilot program by announcing a call for instructor grants. Funds will be available to support instructors who are passionate about adopting existing OERs for a fall 2022 or spring 2023 course.  

Participants selected for the pilot will receive :  

• A kick-off consultation with library OER experts, focused on helping refine and support your plan for OER adoption. 
• Regular email communication and check-ins, with the option of additional tailored consultative support.  
• $500 for adoption of a substantial OER text(s) in a course. 

Please apply by Friday, May 13 to express your interest in the summer pilot. Selection of participants will be based on projects that:  

• Focus on a university, college or departmental core course  
• Will be used in multiple sections or classes 
• Replace expensive course materials  

The next call for applications will open up in fall 2022, to coincide with the academic year, and will be open to instructors who wish to adopt, adapt, or create OERs:  

• $500 for adoption of (substantial) OER text(s) in a course  
• $1,000 for adaptation of existing OER for a course 
•  $3,000 for creation of entirely new OER
