When you decide to develop a proposal for submission, you should notify the RGC office via the “Intent to Submit” notification process. Once your form has been received and reviewed, then your assigned RGC representative will be able to provide the following, as needed:
  1. Contacts the PI in a timely manner to discuss proposal plans;
  2. Provides the PI with summary of information/documents needed;
  3. Reminds PI of established timeline for the proposal development process;
  4. Reviews the draft budget and provides any modifications needed;
  5. Reviews any PI-initiated forms and documents;
  6. Communicates with all team members, including external personnel on the project (consultants, subcontractors, etc.);
  7. Initiates any institutional forms or letters required;
  8. Provides any additional recommendations and/or guidance to complete the proposal;
  9. Secures any authorized signatures required for forms or application;
  10. Supports the submission of the proposal package to the funding sponsor

Ideally, all required documents needed for submission should be in FINAL form and received by the RGC representative no less than 5 business days prior to the planned submission date.
