Federal regulations require research involving human subjects (IRB), vertebrate animals (IACUC) and biological materials (IBC) to be reviewed by designated compliance committees.

IRB
The IRB is a committee that approves, monitors, and reviews scientific research involving human participants.

IACUC
The IACUC ensures that all vertebrate animal research is performed in a safe, ethical and legal manner.

IBC
The IBC reviews projects as outlined in the Biohazard Agent Registration form.

Responsible Conduct
Guidelines for the responsible conduct of research, scholarship and creative activity.

Financial Conflict Of Interest
The (FCOI) policy protects the objectivity and integrity of the work of Northern Kentucky University and its researchers.
