Dear Campus Community:
I am pleased to share with you that Ms. Tammy Knochelmann has accepted an appointment as Executive Secretary to the Board of Regents effective January 4, 2022.
This change was necessary because Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer Bonita Brown, who previously held that position, will transition to focusing exclusively on the critical work of implementing Success by Design. In addition, Bonita will serve as the campus coordinator for the Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati Moon Shot for Equity initiative.
Tammy takes on her new responsibilities with the Board while continuing to serve as Executive Assistant to the President. I am grateful for her service and commitment to NKU. She has been a vital member of the Office of the President for many years, and I am confident the work of this office and the work of the Board will continue at a high level.
Since joining the Office of the President in 2008, Tammy has managed the day-to-day services and administrative activities for three NKU Presidents and one interim president. Her main duties include coordinating and managing the calendar for the President, scheduling and arranging travel and serving as a liaison between this office and various internal and external constituencies.
Tammy is an NKU alumna with a bachelor's degree in psychology in 2001 and she received her MBA with a concentration in Human Resources in 2012. She previously received the Professional in Human Resources Certification (PHR). Prior to joining NKU, she served for 13 years at General Cable Corporation in a variety of administrative roles.
Please join me in congratulating Tammy on her new role and in wishing both Bonita and Tammy well as they continue the important work of serving NKU.
